The Community Empowerment Bill received Royal Assent and became an Act on 24 July 2015. Different parts of the act will come in to force at different times.
The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 will help to empower community bodies through the ownership of land and buildings, and by strengthening their voices in the decisions that matter to them.
