Reuse cabins or locations
We've set up the following reuse facilities at several of our recycling centres for you to donate unwanted household items to bring them back into use:
- Duns Community Recycling Centre
- Galashiels Community Recycling Centre
- Peebles (Eshiels) Community Recycling Centre
- Kelso Community Recycling Centre
- Hawick Community Recycling Centre
- Selkirk Community Recycling Centre
What happens to donated items
The donated goods are checked and then distributed to the following local social enterprises:
- Just Cycle
- Home Basics - large domestic appliances such as washing machines, cookers, tumble dryers and fridges and solid wood furniture (not MDF)
- Garden tools
- Hawick Men's Shed - solid wood planks/off cuts
