Building warrant fees
When you are applying for a building warrant the fee you pay is based on the estimated cost of the work you intend to carry out:

Late applications
It is an offence, under 8(2) of The Building (Scotland) Act 2003, to carry out work requiring a building warrant before the warrant has been approved. A late application for building warrant where work has already started, whether for construction or demolition, will be charged at 200% of the fee shown above.
The submission of a completion certificate where no warrant has been obtained for construction will be charged at 300% of the fee shown above.
Warrant fee discounts
A warrant fee is discounted where certificates from approved certifiers of design are presented with an application for warrant, application for amendment of a building a building warrant and submission of a completion certificate where no warrant was granted. These discounts are as follows, where the estimated value of the work:

A warrant fee is discounted where the applicant notifies the verifier of their intention to submit certificates from approved certifiers of construction when an application for warrant or application for amendment of a building a building warrant is made or on submission of a completion certificate where no warrant was granted. These discounts are as follows, where the estimated value of the work:
