Food hygiene training
Training people to work with food is very important in order to improve food safety.
Food Hygiene training for all food handlers is now a requirement of the Food Hygiene (Scotland) Regulations 2006.
About the course
Each course runs over six hours, usually in one day. There are three hours of lectures in the morning and three in the afternoon with a short multiple choice test at the end of the afternoon session.
Candidates who attend the course and successfully complete the test are awarded the Certificate in Elementary Food Hygiene by the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS).

Make sure the course you have chosen is approved by a relevant ceritfication organisation, such as The Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland or The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
