Council plan and budget Community Conversations
Please join us to help us understand what really matters for you and your community as we plan the budget for 2026/27.
Community conversations will offer the opportunity to meet and speak directly with Council Leaders, Ward Members and our Senior Officers.

Challenge Poverty Week 2025
Tying in with Challenge Poverty Week, a national campaign, we are running three partnership information events as part of our programme of community conversations.
Why should I attend?
- Learn more about services available in your area
- An opportunity to engage face to face with a range of local partners at the stallholder’s information event, including SBHA, Waverley Housing Association, Sustainable Borders, Citizens Advice Bureau, NHS, Our Financial Inclusion Team, Community Engagement Team and more
- Help us to understand barriers to accessing local services
- Find out more about the new family support directory launching on 6 October 2025
- Come along for a cuppa and a chat

Our Community Engagement Officers want to hear from you! The team will be attending local supermarkets this autumn to hear about your priorities for the local area, as we plan for the budget for 2026/27.
