What is Corporate Landlord?

Corporate Landlord will aim to centralise all property spend, departmental space management and letting with the aim of providing a leaner, fitter, modern and rationalised estate that provides better value for money.

Benefits

It will aim to add flexibility to all our service and locality needs with the right property, in the right place, at the right time and at the right cost.

More specifically, it will ensure the delivery of an integrated professional property services covering:

  • Strategic Property Asset Management
  • Estate Management and Valuation
  • Property Management
  • Design
  • Major Projects
  • Contract Management
  • Facilities Management.

This is not a new service, but a change of approach which will aim to consolidate service delivery and allow our staff to shape the service.

Key individuals (Intelligent Clients) will be assigned within services who can help create a set of requirements agreed with the Corporate Landlord to suit their team.

Property Helpdesk

The Property Helpdesk will act as a single point of contact for all property related queries, starting with the repair and maintenance service.

The helpdesk will be launched on Monday 24 September and will allow us to have a better understanding of the types of maintenance required across its estate, how much is being spent on maintenance and will provide a clearer picture of the condition of our properties.

Ultimately, it will allow the service to work more efficiently.

Anyone who has access to IT and has a property maintenance request should use the helpdesk, including schools, Live Borders and SB Cares, which will aim to provide a consistent service across the Borders.

How to make a request?

  • Non-emergency repairs, employees will be required to complete the Corporate Landlord Property Helpdesk form available on the intranet. The online form should be used as the first option but if unable to access IT, you can also phone the Helpdesk 01835 825121
  • Emergency repairs during normal working hours (Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 8.45am-3.45pm), employees should phone the Helpdesk where the request will be logged and the relevant person will be contacted immediately to attend to the matter
  • Emergency repairs outwith normal workings hours, employees should continue to phone our out of hours service provider 01896 752111. These requests will be logged retrospectively by Helpdesk staff
