- Summary details
- Borderers are being encouraged to nominate areas which could be turned into grassland or wildflower meadows in an effort to improve biodiversity in the region.
- Full details
-
As part of the Neighbourhood Operations Review, we are seeking suggestions for sites that could be turned into habitat areas. The move will aim to improve the environment, as well as help to contribute towards savings and efficiencies.
If a nominated area is selected, it will be sown with wildflowers, planted with trees or managed as a grassland meadow, providing habitat for bees, insects and birds. Each area will be cut once a year and may have grass paths mown through them to encourage the public to use and enjoy these spaces. - Closing date
