Public Consultation took place between 26 August 2016 and 10 October 2016 on our proposals paper in respect of some changes to our additional support needs provision and we sought views on the following:
•the proposal that the new additional support needs build in the village of Earlston is established as a school
•the proposal that the spectrum support class provision at Wilton Primary School is discontinued
•the proposal that the spectrum support class provision at St Ronan’s Primary School is discontinued
We also sought ideas for the name of the proposed new school and the reasons for any suggestions.
We have now prepared and published a Consultation Report responding to the issues raised during the consultation, and recommending that the proposals are implemented. The Consultation Report will go before Councillors at the Council meeting on 15 December 2016 for determination of whether to implement the Proposals.
In advance of the Council Meeting we invite you to consider the Consultation Report and inform us of any further views you have on the proposals. - Department
