Request or Question: I would like to make an FOI request for the following:I request that the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the existing Galashiels Academy site and the adjacent Scott Park site be made available through this FOI request for the new proposed Galashiels community campus. This request includes any drawings and appendices that support the report. In addition, any supporting reports that would be required to prepare this EIA document are also requested.
Response: Following consultation with SBC's Planning Department it has been concluded that having examined the proposal in relation to the relevant criteria in the Environmental Impact Assessment (Scotland) Regulations 2017 and the advice given in Circular 1/2017, it is the opinion of the Planning Authority that the environmental effects of the proposed would not be so significant that it would warrant an Environmental Impact Assessment in this instance.
