Request or Question: I am writing to request the following data related to planning:- The number of trees planted in compensation for those felled as part of onshore wind farm development on Scotland's national forests and lands, under the Control of Woodland Removal Policy, from 1 January 2000 to 31 December 2019.
Response: Clioch (12/01283/S36, WIN-140-1) is the only wind farm in Scottish Borders located within Scotland's National Forests and lands. This wind farm has not been constructed and the relevant planning conditions at this stage have not been discharged. Therefore, at the time of writing no trees have been felled.Under Condition 18 of this consent, 15.2ha of existing woodland that is to be felled, will be required to be compensated for under a woodland replanting scheme.Therefore, with regard to Scotland's National Forests and lands, no trees have been felled and therefore no trees have been replanted in compensation.
