I am writing to make a request under The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 to request the following information from this Council / local HSPC / social care department. My request is on respite care.1) How many weeks of respite care have been provided and for how many clients in the years 2019/20;2) How many weeks of respite care have been provided and for how many clients in the years 2020/21;
3) Has the respite care service been fully restored as of the 10th of August 2021;
4) If the respite care service has not been fully restored by the 10th of August 2021 when does it plan on being restored.
Response
1) 596 weeks in total provided for 169 clients
2) 301 weeks in total provide for 100 clients
3) No
4) The Respite service full restoration is impacted by the local and national pressure in recruitment and retention of workforce. Respite services are being provided when there is resource.
