Request or Question: I am writing to you under the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION Act.I wish to obtain the maintenance schedule for drainage, i.e. ROAD drain / pipe INFRASTRUCTURE maintenance / check clearance at Venlaw high road, Peebles. EH45 8RL.l would be grateful if you can furnish me with the dates of theLast 4 inspections/ drain cleaning dates.
Response: Scottish Borders Council has considered your request and concluded that to respond would place an unreasonable burden of the service concerned. Under 10(4)(b) of EI(S)R 2004 Scottish Borders Council is not obliged to comply with a request that is considered to be manifestly unreasonable.
We have no formal records of the previous visits to clean the road drainage gullies on Venlaw High Road. The recording system for this operation is paper based and the records are not stored in a controlled manner. We have recently attended the site on 30th August and cleaned all road gullies, and will be returning to carry out further drainage investigation works.
