Request or Question: Under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 please supply the following data:1) Please advise if Scottish Borders Council are using facial recognition or looking to use facial recognition in schools.2) If the answer to Q1 is affirmative please advise the schools involved.
3) If the answer to Q1 is affirmative please advise when the facial recognition was implemented or when it is planned to be implemented and the company supplying the technology
4) If the answer to Q1 is affirmative please provide copies of all communications, internal and external, on the use of facial recognition in educational establishments, including all communications that may need redactions.
Response: 1) Scottish Borders Council are not using facial recognition or looking to use facial recognition in schools at the present time.
