Request or Question: I would be grateful if you could provide the following information under freedom of information legislation:1. The number of gritting vehicles in use in this local authority in each of the last 10 years.2. The number of public grit bins in this local authority in each of the last 10 years.If this information is not held for this many years then please provide for the years it is held for.
Response: 1. We don’t retain historical information with regards to winter fleet. We currently have a total of 76 winter vehicles made up of:
34 lorries ( Mixture of fixed/swap body systems)
9 pickups (demountable gritters)
7 large agricultural tractors
24 compact footpath tractors
2 snow blowers
