On behalf of the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) Scotland, I am requesting the following information under the Freedom of Information Act in relation to the education of children and young people who are visually impaired: 1)      a. Who provides Qualified Teacher of Children and Young People with a Vision Impairment (QTVI) services in the Local Authority? Please choose an option/options from the below list. 
-        Local Authority employed QTVI(s)
-        An external organisation is commissioned to deliver QTVI services (please give name of external organisation)
-        QTVI services are shared with another Local Authority (please state which LA)

- Specialist school – We have taken the decision not to release information where numbers are 5 or below. This is because releasing this information could potentially identify individuals. Therefore, we are relying on section 38(1)(b) of FOI(S)A 2002.

A number of children on our caseloads are also educated in our SBC enhanced provisions within Mainstream Primary and Secondary Schools. Some children are in the enhanced provision for all of their learning; some access a split placement between enhanced provision and their local mainstream school.
