5. The issue was reported to Scottish Borders Council in early January 2022. SBC identified a blockage in pipe crossing below the road and then attempted to carry out manual clearance of the pipe on 10th January, which was unsuccessful. SBC then used our gully emptying machine to attempt to remove the blockage also on 10th January. This clearance was however also unsuccessful. SBC have therefore planned in an investigation to review and rectify the issue. From initial on-site inspection, it is expected that new pipework will be required.
