*Scottish Borders Council has 30 traffic regulation orders covering 29 different settlements plus an order which covers on-street disabled parking as part of The Disabled Persons Parking Places (Scotland) Act 2009. A full list of individual streets which are subject to parking restrictions is not available without interrogating these orders individually. We do not hold this information in an accessible format and it would place a substantial burden on Scottish Borders Council (SBC) in terms of costs and resources required. We therefore give notice under 10(4)(b) of EI(S)R 2004 that it is manifestly unreasonable for SBC to provide this information in the format requested.

In the Scottish Borders Council area, on-street parking enforcement is still a criminal offence and therefore carried out by Police Scotland. Records on the number of tickets issued and the total value would have to be obtained from Police Scotland directly, please see 1st link provided below.

Additional information is available through our Scottish Borders Council website where we give details of our parking fines for all our Off Street Pay and Display car parks. Please see 2nd link provided below.
