Request or Question: a) Please provide the number of social care packages which have not been taken up by a provider due to staffing issues for i)2017 ii) 2018 iii)2019 iv)2020 v)2020.b) Please provide the i) average length of time in days and ii) the longest length of time in days, that service users have waited for a social care package to be taken up by a provider in 2021
Response: a) The numbers below indicate those people where a package of care was not taken up by a provider as at that date or close to that date.SBC have multiple providers and a brokering service. Therefore, referrals are made to multiple providers and by consequence 1 x provider will accept and multiple providers will decline. We do not record the reason for decline.
Scottish Borders does not hold the information requested. We do not hold the data and it is not possible to go to each care provider retrospectively to determine each decline to establish whether this was a staffing issue.
Therefore we refer to S17 of FOI(S)A 2002 and declare that the information is not held.
