Request or Question: Please advise:1. How much money your local authority has spent repairing potholes in the financial year 2021/22.2. Have you made any use of a JCB PotholePro vehicle for your repairs or do you have plans to do so?3. If you have made use of a JCB PotholePro vehicle, or have plans to do so, please advise what savings (if any) have been achieved, or you expect to achieve.
Response: 1. £3,276,390 to date.
2. A trial was carried out using the Pothole Pro vehicle during 2021-22 financial year. The Council are currently in the process of purchasing a Pothole Pro for utilisation during 2022-23 financial year.
3. We anticipate making in the region of £150,000 savings on reactive repairs by utilising the Pothole Pro vehicle on the principal road network during 2022-23.
