Request or Question: 1. What provision/plans have/are being made to introduce gender neutral/unisex toilet facilities in schools, at what cost and which schools? 2. Also what provision/plans have/are being made to introduce gender neutral/unisex toilets in council run facilities, at what cost and which facilities?
Response: Toilets are/have been provided for in Jedburgh Grammar Campus, Galashiels Community Campus and Peebles High School. The layout of the toilet facilities will allow for them to be used in either a male/female or all-gender style subject to local arrangements and management within each school. The costs for these toilets are not separately identified within the overall project budgets. Therefore we are unable to provide the cost and refer to S17 of FOI(S)A 2002 and declare that the information is not held.
