Request or Question: I noticed that Scottish Borders Council had a Queen's Platinum Jubilee Fund, which has awarded money to various community organisations. I'm curious as to how this was funded. Is this money coming directly from the Council's coffers or was another party involved in providing the funding? How much, in total, has been given away to these groups?I am hoping that Scottish Borders Council can provide me with the relevant information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Response: I can confirm that the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Fund is being fully funded for Community Groups by Scottish Borders Council. Grants awarded as at 10 May 2022 totalled £135,501. Expenditure incurred to date (18 May 2022) totals £95,118.82. Breakdown :2021/22 Outturn £53,847.01
