Request or Question: As you know Section 112(1a) of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 (Council tax and community charges: restrictions on voting) applies to members of a local authority who have an outstanding amount of Council Tax that has remained unpaid for at least two months.It is in the public interest therefore to release details of any of your members in arrears.Can you tell me if any of your members have an outstanding amount of Council Tax that has remained unpaid for at least two months?Can you give me their name and the amount of council tax unpaid?
Response: Scottish Borders Council can confirm that no Councillor has a Council Tax balance outstanding that has remain unpaid for at least 2 months.
