Please could you provide the following information under the Freedom of Information Act (Scotland) 2002:How many applications to the Queen's Jubilee fund were received by the local authority?How many of these applications were successful, and how much was each project funded? If you could provide an overall total too that would be great.How many events has the local authority organised on or around the weekend from 2 to 6 June 2022 to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee and provide details on where/when they are being held? Could you provide any programmes/leaflets/advertisements in the response too please, and "events" includes activities on council property, including schools, and within the local community.
Could you provide the costing/invoices/overall budget for each event which is being held by the council.
Also, to clarify, this request relates only to Queen Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
Response
All funding applications for the Scottish Borders Council Queen's Platinum Jubilee Fund are shown on our website (link below). We are still working through some of the applications, so are unable to give final totals as yet but the website will be updated once all the applications are processed.
As at 17th May 2022 approximately £139,000 of funding has been provided to communities.
All events are being organised and arranged by our communities across the Borders, not Scottish Borders Council, therefore any enquiries in relation to programmes/leaflets/advertisements and further details of the events should be made directly to the relevant community groups.
