Request or Question: I am making a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I would like to know the number of enforcement actions you have served over shipping containers not having proper planning permission.
I would like this information broken down for the years (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022), the outcome of enforcement action and where the container was located (for example on green belt land, in a back garden of a dwelling, on a brownfield site).
Response: 2018 – 5 cases of which 1 was removed, 1 was no breach, 1 went to notice and 2 secured planning permission. The cases were located on commercial land, farm land and industrial land
2019 – 1 case which secured planning permission (industrial land)
2020 – 3 cases of which 2 secured planning permission and 1 went to Notice. The cases were on farm land, commercial land and industrial land.
2021 – 1 case which was removed by the land owner (Farm land)
