Request or Question: May I request the following information: 1) How many postal ballots were sent to prisoners residing at an address in any Scottish prison for the 2022 local election. 2) How many postal ballots were returned by prisoners residing at an address in any Scottish prison to vote in the 2022 local election. 3) How many votes by proxy took place on behalf of a person residing at any Scottish prison in the 2022 local election.
Response: Scottish Borders Council gives notice of S17 of FOI(S)A 2002 and declare the information is not held.
The information requested is held by the Returning Officer for Elections, who is not subject to Freedom of Information legislation.
