Request or Question
The number of pupils within the local authority currently learning in a) Temporary buildings, b) temporary classrooms and c) schools that are not part of their own campus.
Where pupils are learning temporarily elsewhere, I would appreciate if you could provide details of how long this arrangement has been in place, and when the local authority expects these pupils to return to a permanent place of study.

The number of pupils within the local authority currently learning in
a) Temporary buildings,
89 Early Years pupils, this is an ongoing arrangement, and no end date is known.
b) temporary classrooms
Peebles High School buildings suffered significant damage following a fire in 2019. Since then, a number of temporary arrangements have been introduced to ensure continuity of learning. Almost all pupils now learn in some form of temporary classroom at some point in the week until the new High School building is opened. This is planned to be in September 2025.
