1. How many equipment-based assessments did you carry out in the last FY?
We do not do service led assessments, we undertake holistic assessments which may lead to an outcome of equipment being issued.
Approx no of items of equipment issued FY 22/23 = 13618, total value £1,691,369

2. What is the current average wait time for this type of assessment?-

The assessment data on our client system is not specifically for equipment therefore we are unable to answer this question and therefore we give notice under s17 of FOI(S)A 2002 and declare that the information is not held.

3. Is it your organisation’s current policy to use Trusted Assessors within your equipment assessments pathways?

We operate an equipment service which is jointly funded by the Local Authority and NHS, where professionally qualified AHPs and nurses from both organisations can assess and allocate equipment)

This Grants system does not operate in Scotland

10. Is any of your Trusted Assessor provision outsourced? - No

Do you accept prescriptions or recommendations for equipment from external organisations such as care and nursing homes, housing associations, supported living providers or domiciliary care providers if the case handler is an OT (Occupational Therapist) or Trusted Assessor? – Any recommendations would be part of our social work referral and screening system and allocated appropriately to a suitably experienced assessor.

109 from other NHS health boards in Scotland. None from external organisations such as care and nursing homes, housing associations, supported living providers or domiciliary care providers.
