Request or Question
1) The number of times school or council staff in the local authority area have contacted police in relation to an incident of violence, aggression and/or abuse by a pupil in a school in the area in each of the last five years.
2) Details of the system used by school staff to report/record incidents of violence, aggression and/or abuse by pupils in the local authority area.
3) The number of incidents reported/recorded under that system in each of the last five years, broken down by school.
Response
Unfortunately, we do not hold this information centrally. Any incidents where police have been contacted would be recorded on individual pastoral notes for individual children and young people therefore this would be require a manual check through the records to obtain the answer for each individual.
This task would take a considerable amount of time to complete and would exceed the threshold of cost incurred in responding to an FOI request, and we therefore apply section 12 of FOISA. Evotix Assure
