Reconsideration and appeals for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction
Review of our decision
You may ask us to reconsider this decision. Your request must be made in writing, signed by you and sent to our Customer Advice and Support Service within one month of the date of award notice for Housing Benefit and two months for Council Tax Reduction. If, after reconsideration, we do not change this decision, you will still be able to appeal against it.
Housing Benefit Appeals
Your appeal must be made in writing, signed by you, state the date of your notice and the grounds on which your appeal is based. Your appeal must be within one month of the date of your notice and sent to:

If you do appeal, we will reconsider our original decision before passing your appeal to the Tribunal Service for Housing Benefit.
Council Tax Reduction Reviews
You have the right to appeal against this decision. This request must be sent to the Local Taxation Chamber within 42 days from the date of your notice. This must be made in writing and signed by you using the CTR review form which can be obtained by any of the means below.
