Do I need to renew my direct debit every year?
A direct debit instruction is continuous, this means you do not need to renew it every year.
Can I pay over twelve-months?
Yes, by direct debit you can. You can set up or amend your direct debit to twelve months (April to March inclusive) using our Council Tax online page.
Can I change or cancel my direct debit?
Yes, you can change your payment date using our Council Tax online page.

A direct debit can be cancelled at any time at your bank or building society.
What happens if a mistake is made?
If we or your bank or building society make a mistake, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your bank or building society.
