Borders residents are being encouraged to attend the next meeting of their local Area Partnership due to be held in March.

The meetings are a chance to find out more about the range of funding opportunities we have made available to support community groups and projects. This includes an update on awards made during 2021-22 for the following:

Local priorities will also be discussed and there will be the opportunity to set future agenda items.

Meetings are open to all members of the public and are attended by local councillors and community councillors. They are held online through Microsoft Teams, an arrangement set up in response to the pandemic. More information, including a copy of the full agenda and how to access the Teams link is available as follows:

Councillor Robin Tatler, Executive Member for Community Development and Localities

“I am delighted that we are continuing to see a strong interest from community groups and that we have been able to support such a variety of fantastic projects.

“Our Area Partnership meetings are a great way for people to find out more about what applications have been submitted for their area and equally importantly, find out which ones have been successful and will go on to benefit their community.

“They really are a way for people to become involved in the decision making process at a local level and as always, I would encourage as many people as possible to attend their next local meeting and influence what happens in their community.”
