Bus network changes - Tweeddale and Galashiels (May 2025)

Details of the changes

From the 12th of May 2025, we will be commencing operation of the following local bus services in Tweeddale:

  • Service 90 Peebles Town Service
  • Service 91 Peebles to Biggar
  • Service 93 Peebles to West Linton

In Galashiels, Service 54 which operates between Balmoral and Galashiels, and Service 74 which operates between Galashiels, Netherdale and Melrose Gait, will be replaced by Borders Buses Service 51 and a new Service 75 operated by Scottish Borders Council.

We will continue to work in partnership with Borders Buses to ensure a smooth transition between operations.

We would like to thank communities and Councillors along the routes for their continued feedback which has helped to shape the new services. SBC officers will monitor the changes and feedback for a period of 12 weeks following the changes and may make some minor amendments if required.

A full summary of the changes and new timetables can be found on our bus timetables page.
