Annoyance dogs

Where an animal is causing an annoyance (for example by noise, repeated wondering), you have the right to take action in the Justice of Peace Court under Section 49 of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982. Can you help recover the vet costs after my dog(s) be injured?

No, we're unable to recover any costs. We can make the dog owner aware that veterinary costs have been incurred, however, we're unable to directly recover the costs on your behalf or get involved in your claim.
