Melrose resident and business information
The Tour of Britain Women route passes twice through Melrose and some fringe activities will take place in Gibson Park, including big screen coverage of the race, live music and various cycling activities.
We are expecting up to 500 attendees in Melrose throughout the day.
Road restrictions and potential disruption to deliveries
The following town centre road restrictions will be in place before and during the event. If businesses are expecting any deliveries during these times, please contact events@scotborders.gov.uk with an idea of the time expected, area for unloading and duration of deliveries to enable arrangements to be put in place.
Residents are asked to make alternative arrangements if you are expecting any deliveries during these times.
Parking will be prohibited on the following roads from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 7 June 2025:
- B6374 High Cross Ave, Melrose – from Waverley Road to High Street
- B6374 High Street, Melrose – from High Cross Ave to Market Square
- Market Square, Melrose – from High Street to Dingleton Road
- B6359 Dingleton Road, Melrose – from Market Square to Chiefswood Road
- B6359 Bowden Loch, Melrose - from the D17/4 to Longleefoot
