Your nearest - user guide
Your nearest presents local services information relating to a selected address.
Address search
First select your property through the address search, pictured below. Enter part of an address or a complete postcode, then search. You may be required to select your address from a dropdown list.

Once you have selected your address, a range of information will become available through the Your Nearest interface. The screenshot below highlights its key features, and each of these is explained further below.
1. Drop down Box
Select one of the Drop down Boxes [1] to return information. You will receive one return for each drop-down except where otherwise stated. The information provided will be the nearest of each heading category to the selected address (for example the library closest to your address, or the community council the address sits within). Links provide additional information.
2. Feature Display
Select the Feature Display [2] within the drop down to zoom to the feature within the map.
3. Address
Select the Address [3] to zoom back to the map location of the selected address.
4. Zoom Tool
Zoom in and out of the map by using the Zoom Tool [4]. The plus sign zooms in, the minus sign zooms out. Click on the map and hold down to pan around the map. If you prefer, you should be able to use your scroll wheel (if your mouse has one) to zoom in and out. Roll the wheel forward one notch at a time to zoom in, roll the wheel back in the same way to zoom out.

Enter a different postcode or part address within the Address Search [5] to return new results on another property

Select the links at the bottom of the interface for further information:
- the Council Tax Band link [6] will bring up council tax bands for all residential properties within the postcode area of the address selected
- the Post Office link [7] will bring up the post office branch finder
- the Bin Collection Dates link [8] will bring up bin collection dates for the address selected, but only for residential properties
