Changes to services over the festive period

Customer Advice and Support Service

As normal there will be changes to our Customer Advice and Support Service over the Christmas and New Year period.

Contact Centres and Library Contact Centres

The following Contact Centres will be open:

Christmas Eve (24 December)

  • Kelso and Duns Library Contact Centre - 24 December from 11am to 3pm
  • Innerleithen and Coldstream Library Contact Centre - 24 December from 12 noon to 3pm
  • Hawick and Galashiels Contact Centres - 24 December from 10am-12noon and 1pm to 3pm

After Christmas

  • Hawick and Galashiels Contact Centres - 27, 30 and 31 December from 10am to 12 noon
  • Duns Library Contact Centre - 27 December from 10am to 3pm
  • Kelso Library Contact Centre - 30 December from 10am to 4pm
  • Coldstream Library Contact Centre - 30 December from 10am to 2pm
  • Innerleithen Library Contact Centre - 31 December from 11am to 3pm

All other Contact Centres and Library Contact Centres will be closed from 24 December and will reopen as normal on 3 January.

Our 0300 100 1800 phone line will be open with reduced hours see table below.

Outwith these times, our emergency out of hours number 01896 752111 will operate.

Live chat and HQ switchboard 01835 824000 will close at 3pm on 24 December and re open 8.45am on 3 January.
