Identity checks
Before carrying out disclosure checks on anyone over the age of 16 who normally lives with you, we need to see proof of their identity. We’ll do this when we come out to see your property.
There are three types of ID we normally need to see. Find information about this on the Government website.
If you’re providing the Ukrainian family with a self-contained property, we’ll ask you to disclose if you have any spent or unspent convictions so we can be satisfied you’re a fit and proper person to be responsible for your guests.
What happens after the identity checks
Once we’ve confirmed your identity, we’ll send you the disclosure forms by email with a link to upload them once you've filled the forms in.
Provided all checks are completed and we’ve confirmed that the Ukrainian guests are resident, we’ll organise a welfare check and arrange to give your guests their initial £200 payment per person.
At the same time, we’ll start a process to validate your bank details for your monthly thank you payment.
