DFN Project SEARCH
DFN Project SEARCH is an employability program partnership between us, NHS Borders, and Borders College. It offers real-life work experience to young people aged 16-29 with additional needs.
The Project follows the academic year and provides opportunities for individuals (referred to as Interns) to gain employability skills and qualifications:
- Interns participate in three rotations within Borders General Hospital, Scottish Borders Council, Borders College, or local businesses. These rotations provide supervised work experience.
- Interns receive support from an Employment Support worker and a Tutor from Borders College.
- Interns work toward a nationally recognised employability qualification.
