Greyfriar's Garden
The garden sits just off the High Street in Jedburgh, one of our most historic towns.
It is formed around the foundations of the last monastic house to be founded in Scotland. You can learn more about its history from Jedburgh town’s website.
Access to the garden
The underground remains are shown with brown gravel and the graves with white gravel. There is a viewing platform where you can look at the site as illustrated on the interpretation board.
You can sit in the garden and enjoy the pear trees, herbs and other planting that represents the medieval culture of using healing plants.
