General Information

Resettlement schemes

People from Ukraine will arrive in our area under three different schemes.

Homes for Ukraine scheme

Scottish Government Super Sponsor scheme

  • You can apply for a visa under the Homes for Ukraine scheme to come to Scotland by selecting 'Scottish Government' on the UK visa application website. Choosing this option means you don’t have to arrange an individual sponsor before coming to Scotland. The Scottish Government will help you do that when you get to Scotland.
  • The Scottish Government has information about how to get to Scotland on their website. A number of welcome hubs have been set up around the country, and the help desk teams will help with temporary accommodation and other support.
  • If you have registered to become a host through the Scottish Government's Super Sponsor scheme, their guidance information for hosts providing accommodation should be helpful.

Ukraine Family scheme

  • The Ukraine Family Scheme allows people to join family members or extend their stay in the UK. Anyone applying will be able to live, work and study in the UK and access public funds.
  • More information is available about applying to the Ukraine Family Scheme
