30 July
As with any new school opening we are putting in a phased plan to help pupils and staff of Jedburgh Grammar Campus get used to their new surroundings and make the transition to the new campus as smooth and as enjoyable as possible.
These arrangements would have been in place in any event, however we are only able to share these on 30 July following the Scottish Government’s confirmation that a full return of pupils is possible, rather than the requirement for contingency plan which would have involved a blend of in school and home learning.
The arrangements are:
- Tuesday 11 August: Early Learning and Childcare Induction Day
- Families with children attending the nursery from 11 August will be invited to attend for a one hour slot to see the facilities and meet staff. Individual invites will be issued in due course
- Wednesday 12 August: P1, S1 and S6 to attend for full day (Primary 8.50am-3.25pm, Secondary 8.50am-3.45pm)
- Thursday 13 August: all year groups attend for full day (timings as above)
- Friday 14 August: all year groups for normal half day (Primary 8.50am-12.50pm, Secondary 8.50am-1.20pm)
Further information specific to the opening of the new campus will be provided to parents and carers by the school directly from next week.

The new Jedburgh Grammar Campus was due to open in April 2020. The building was handed over to us by contractor BAM Construction, with some minor snagging works still outstanding due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
At this stage, we expect the Campus to open at the start of the new session in August 2020 but will provide further information as soon as it is available.
10 March
Furniture and equipment from Jedburgh Grammar and Primary schools is being made available to schools, community groups and members of the public.

Our partners Live Borders, the region’s culture and sports trust, will proactively manage community access to the new Jedburgh Grammar Campus.
The charity has a track record in driving sports and culture participation, with the team not only managing the sport and community bookings but working collaboratively to deliver a programme that will aim to tackle health inequalities and develop pathways for sport and physical activity.
What is the Jedburgh Grammar Campus?
The innovative facility aims to cater for all ages of the community in one location.
In August 2017, funding for the Jedburgh Grammar Campus was confirmed by Deputy First Minister John Swinney, as one of four projects to share £28m from the latest phase of the Scottish Government’s £1.8bn Schools for the Future programme.
The campus replaces the current Jedburgh Grammar School, and former Parkside and Howdenburn primary schools.
The campus is being taken forward by us alongside development partner Hub South East Scotland and appointed main contractor BAM Construction.
