Adult Social Care staff information

Autumn/winter vaccination programme 2023/24 Update 4 – December 2023

All health and social care workers are eligible for a flu vaccination this winter. All frontline health and social care workers are also being offered a Covid-19 booster vaccination.

Help protect yourself and the people you care for

The festive season is drawing closer and is a time that many of us will be spending with family and friends. However, it is also the time of year when viruses such as flu and Covid-19 are more likely to spread. It takes about 10 days after receiving the flu and Covid-19 vaccines for the body to build up maximum protection, so we would encourage staff who have not yet come forward to receive the vaccine(s) they are eligible for to plan ahead and top-up their protection in time for the festive period.
