Total Mobile - update 7.10.21
The Total Mobile project is continuing to make progress with SB Cares and Systems Administration staff undertaking structured User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions to test the functionality of the solution. As of 28 September, there have been 36 test scripts completed with zero defects raised.
The next phase will test the new and improved functionality that is available due to the release of the new version (9.6) of Total Mobile. This will also involve significant testing with iPhone devices to ensure that you can complete your work in an efficient and effective manner and allow you to spend more of your time focussing on your clients.
We are continuing to focus on the Optimise and CareLink modules within the current UAT phase but will also be testing Mobilise. Mobilise is the front-end solution that will be used by you throughout your shifts. This will enable you to view all the information relating to your clients, upcoming visits and travel information.
Training will be provided
The Council and SB Cares are investing heavily in digital solutions, such as Total Mobile, to improve the way we deliver health and social care in our community. We are also committed to ensuring that we have helped you to develop the required skills to utilise these technologies.
In the coming weeks we will be arranging training for staff, including schedulers, assistant homecare managers and digital champions, to make sure you are confident and familiar with the system in advance of go-live.
Video guides and FAQs will be available to make sure you are able to conduct your visits without issues.
You will also be supported by a team of digital champions, who are support workers, who you can turn to for advice and information.
We will keep you updated
We will continue to keep you updated as testing progresses. As the iPhone project continues to rollout and more staff have access to their new devices, we will be able to communicate using a variety of digital solutions to keep you up to date.
