Adult Social Care digital transformation

Adult Social Care mobile - update 17.9.21

New phones

All home carers are now in the process of being issued with new iPhones. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September.

This is an important step as the new phones are corporate devices. This means we can easily and safely send out new apps, push through software updates and provide service desk support when there is an issue. In addition, the fingerprint ID system means they are secure.

Please do make every effort to attend your office when requested to collect your new phone.

Protect App

In the next few weeks we plan to roll out a new app called Protect. This is a lone worker protection app which will allow you to quickly request help in the event of something going wrong or you needing help. Critically, it also means that you can be easily found if you do ask for help.

This rollout will be phased and we will update you as things progress.

Total Mobile

The project team is working hard to build and test Total Mobile, the system that will go on to replace CM. It is looking likely that this will be rolled out from late November.

There will be lots of opportunity before then to get involved in training and familiarisation. We will also be sharing videos and FAQ’s to let you know what to expect. We will be looking for Digital Champions to get involved and help with the rollout.

More information will follow in the next few weeks.

Should you have any queries in the meantime, please speak with your line manager.
